Melanie's love of storytelling has been lifelong. It began with her first role as Rudolph in her grade one Christmas pageant. She pursued a career in performing arts throughout her youth, studying at Spectrum, continuing at Malaspina College (now VIU), and eventually at The London Theatre Conservatory in the UK. She then returned to Canada, settling in Vancouver.

Additionally, MelWood Media, her video production company, works with industry leaders and subject matter experts to help them take advantage of emerging social media platforms in order to deliver their messages directly to their audiences.
